How EchelonPulse collects, uses, protects, and discloses your personal information in compliance with POPIA and South African law.

1. Who We Are

EchelonPulse, a sole proprietorship, is the Responsible Party for personal information collected via echelonpulse.co.za. We operate exclusively from South African infrastructure.

2. What We Collect

  • Contact details: Name, email, phone, company — provided when you contact us or sign up.
  • Website data: URLs submitted for auditing — used solely to run the requested analysis.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited — via server logs and analytics.
  • Billing data: Billing address and payment references — actual payment processing by PayFast.
  • Communications: Content of support requests, enquiry forms, and emails you send us.
We never collect sensitive personal information (POPIA Section 26) and never collect information from persons under 18 without verified parental consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Service delivery: Running audits, managing hosting accounts, processing payments, sending invoices.
  • Communications: Responding to enquiries, service notifications, billing alerts.
  • Marketing (with consent only): Newsletter, product updates — you can opt out at any time.
  • Service improvement: Analysing usage patterns to improve our platform and audit engine.
  • Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under POPIA, the Companies Act, and SARS requirements.

We will never sell your personal information to third parties or use it for purposes incompatible with those described above without your explicit consent.

5. Third Parties

We share personal information only with service providers under written data processing agreements:

  • PayFast (Pty) Ltd: Payment processing

No personal information is shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Your Rights

Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. Submit requests to echelonpulse.co.za/dsar or email privacy@echelonpulse.co.za. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security

All personal data is stored on South African servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We conduct regular security audits and maintain strict access controls. In the event of a breach involving personal information, we will notify affected parties and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA within 72 hours.
